About Scruples Bar & Restaurant

Scruples Restaurant has been established way back in 1956, at the time known as ‘Balluta Cafe’. Situated on an idyllic location in St. Julian’s overlooking the Balluta Bay. Scruples Restaurant was one of the first restaurants in the area run by the Grech family.

The restaurant is located in one of the most famous touristic buildings for the 20th Century named ‘Balluta Buildings’ designed by the well known Maltese architect Mr. Joseph Psaila boasting an Art Nouveau design with an Italian influence.

Through the years Scruples Restaurant has prospered and become famous on the island with both tourists and local patrons alike for its genuine fine cuisine and service. The restaurant is open daily for lunch from 10.30am till 15.00pm and dinner from 18.00pm till late except Tuesdays. Reservations are recommended to avoid disappointment.
