Portside Lounge – A comfortable sports lounge

18 screens, 7 live satellite feeds means that at Portside live sports events are always shown. 300 square meters of space with 2 pool tables, a well stocked bar and some of the best games Malta can offer all make Portside the first choice for sports viewers.

Portside has a huge selection of exclusive sports photographs from Malta’s top professionals. The photographs are displayed evenly throughout the 140 ft long walls in beautiful frames with clear annotations of sports events held in Malta and abroad. They depict full action scenes and of Malta’s top sports persons in full action among the world’s top names.

There is a variety of seating from stools to sofas which are specially placed so that viewers may be able to see a number of different screens at the slightest turn of the head. In this way Portside guests stay well informed and lap up the euphoria of the different live events going on at the same time.

Portside plays a variety of music while showing a variety of news channels when live sports events are few. The bar staff and hosts make sure that the lounge is well stocked with magazines and the daily local papers.

Hosts take note of customer requests for sports, Portside welcomes requests for special events which need to be purchased in like special live boxing matches and has even opened early or closed late to host events in different time zones.

Portside hosts are fun and friendly and are chosen especially for their character and their love of being with people. Service is spurred on by training and the company’s access to a variety of different outlets adding to the experience which is brought in by its managers.

The Food

Snacks are served all day at Portside; plated food such as salads and other specialities may be served from 11.00 am till late. Portside’s menu caters for sports viewers : delicious snacks include, fresh salads, traditional Maltese platters and fresh bread from our local baker.

The developers

Aaron and Ivan Camilleri, founders of Jokers Family Fun, Allied Games and Portside Lounge have experience of gaming operations in three countries. Their dedication to a direction set in 1986 when they migrated back to Malta from Lagos, Nigeria has seen both challenges and success.

Both founders have lived in London, Cape Code and Africa collating an understanding for leisure and entertainment and the mix needed to deliver the most sought after places Malta has to offer.

Portside is a special place which took the directors much effort and time. Portside was not an instant success, it was developed and nurtured from the ground up. Portside has been adjusted and continues to adjust to clients ever changing needs and world trends.

Portside has been upgraded 3 times during its 7 year life, its games are updated on a quarterly basis.

Portside has become the company’s most successful theme and the founders favourite creation.
