About Mellieha Water Fun Park in Malta
The Summer Fun Water Park, or as it is better known, the “Fun Park”, is situated in Malta’s largest sandy beach – Mellieha Bay. Established in 2005, this family-run water park has embarked on a mission to provide top quality water sports with a difference. Our aim is to provide a unique and fun experience to all our clients, children and adults alike. The water park caters for all ages (6+ years), but certain equipment is exclusively for the sole use of children between the ages of 6 and 12 years. This setup ensures a safe play area for young children where they can enjoy the experience to the full, whereas older kids and adults can use the rest of the equipment separate from the younger clients.
The Water Park has the latest water equipment and boasts amongst others, a 4.5 m high Iceberg, a Saturn and large Trampolines. All equipment is certified to the highest standards of safety. In 2009, we introduced a whole new concept of sports on water. This includes an Aquatrack – an obstacle race on water, a high jump and a long jump.
Being part of the World Aqua Games Association (WAGA), we organize competitions whereby the ultimate winner is presented with a medal from WAGA, and the details are uploaded in their website. We can proudly say that presently our winners make up 75% of the entire WAGA world record list. We have no doubt that all our previous competitors will be looking forward for the 2012 competitions to commence. In 2012 the Water Park, will be open from mid-June to the end of August, between 10am to 7pm, seven days a week.
