The restaurant itself is a third generation business which opened in the 1930′s when Frenc Azzopardi opened his business as a bar and used to cook fresh rabbits for the British Royal Marines. In 1966 the bar was extended into a restaurant. Frenc’s daughter Rita took over the restaurant and to this day the restaurant is best known as Ta’ Rita (of Rita). Eventually Marika, Rita’s niece took over and has continued to expand the restaurant, including a pizzeria.

Tal-Barklor Restaurant specialises in Pizza, Pasta & Mediterranean cusine together with a selection of wines foreign & local. It is open for lunch & dinner. It has Indoor seating that is fully airconditioned & Outdoor seating with unobstructed sea views.
